This project is a challenge for me, which I expected. I’ve taken it apart I don’t know how many times already. This time beginning again, I ran into another issue which I can’t figure out. How do I keep getting this extra yarn at the end of the second round and into the third?
It turns out that you should not pull on the project to tighten stitches! That is how I ended up with the extra yarn.
Anyway, so after I redo the beginning of the hat AGAIN, starting with round 3, we do the 1×1 twisted ribbing until it measures about 3.5 inches. Obviously the more I practice, the easier it gets. Also, the better it looks!
However, once I started checking my work, I noticed a few mistakes. 😦
Wanting so badly for this to be perfect, I took it apart AGAIN. Now I am somehow mixing up the knit and purl stitch. So nothing is lining up correctly. So for now I am taking a break before I pull my own hair out!
Not to fear, there is more where this came from. Stay tuned!
