Thanks for joining me!
All my life I have been looking for my “niche”. School was torture. Every time the teacher would ask what we wanted to do or be when we grew up, my stomach would knot up because I had absolutely no clue what I wanted to do. The day I graduated from high school, I still had no idea! My Mom taught me the basics of crochet when I was a child, but I never really gave it another thought until I was in my early 20’s. My daughter asked for her own blanket, so I decided to crochet one for her. It was not the most beautiful thing in the world. The entire blanket was done using the slip stitch and I had no clue what blocking was (my Mother didn’t either). When it was finished, the border was wavy and there was a lot of stretch to it. I wasn’t very happy with it, so I started doing research on YouTube to teach myself how to crochet. Now I am a much better creator, but I’m still learning.
When I decided to start up a crochet blog/business I knew there would be a lot of work, So far I feel very good about pursuing this dream. I have made hats, blankets, fingerless gloves, coasters, and stuffed pumpkins! The internet has been an incredible resource for learning anything about crochet. There are so many people out there who are doing their thing with crochet and knitting, it is inspiring and scary!
My goal for this blog is to get in touch with people out there who share this hobby. I want to get out of my shell and learn, create, and share my work. You never know how far you can go until you start going.
